Our Mission

Our mission is to facilitate therapeutic access to the abundant outdoor recreational activities that Arkansas has to offer by providing adaptive equipment and accessibility consulting services to organizations in Arkansas that specialize in outdoor recreation.

Our History

2019

SEPTEMBER 2019
Amanda is involved in an accident that resulted in her need for mobility aids.  To read more about her story, click HERE.


2021

OCTOBER 2021
Seeing the need for improvements in access to the outdoors, Amanda decides to form a nonprofit that will help bring all-terrain wheelchairs to Arkansas State Parks.  She begins researching and learning how to start a nonprofit.


2022

SEPTEMBER 2022
The Articles of Incorporation are filed and Accessibility Across Arkansas officially becomes a nonprofit organization in the State of Arkansas.


2023

AUGUST 2023
Accessibility Across Arkansas becomes a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.

NOVEMBER 2023
Accessibility Across Arkansas enters into a formal agreement with Arkansas State Parks to work together to bring trackchairs to state parks.


2024

FEBRUARY 2024
Accessibility Across Arkansas receives a Quality of Life grant for $23,039 from the Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation for the purchase of one trackchair and its accessories to benefit the All-Terrain Wheelchair Program.
